Santa Claus is on his way and, for the second year in a row, 407 ETR is helping him arrive on time — as a proud sponsor of the 2009 Brampton Santa Claus Parade.
The parade is one of the largest evening parades in Canada, attracting over 100,000 people each year. Spectators line the streets of downtown Brampton to watch all the performers and floats and, of course, to catch a glimpse of Santa Claus himself.
“407 ETR and its employees are big supporters of Santa, and we’re proud to once again be part of this great family event,” said Jose Tamariz, President and Chief Executive Officer of 407 ETR. “Many of our customers and employees live in the Brampton area, and have the opportunity to enjoy this fun and entertaining parade.”
In fact, 407 ETR employees and their families have the opportunity to watch the parade from the company’s very own section. In addition, one lucky employee and their family will ride in 407 ETR’s sponsor car, while another will be a guest judge, helping to decide the winning entries in the parade.
407 ETR is also partnering with the Brampton Guardian to present the “Great Holiday Colouring Contest” – an opportunity for children to colour an advertisement in the Guardian. The winning submission will receive a $1,000 gift card to Bramalea City Centre, just in time for the holiday season.
407 ETR Concession Company Limited (“407 ETR”) is the operator and manager of Highway 407, which extends 108 kilometres east-west, just north of Toronto. 407 International Inc., the sole shareholder of 407 ETR, is owned by a consortium comprised of Cintra Concesiones de Infraestructuras de Transporte, Macquarie Infrastructure Group and SNC-Lavalin.
