407 ETR is a proud recipient of the IBTTA's 2024 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion award

407 ETR is proud to be the recipient of the 2024 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Award for building diversity and inclusivity on and off the road. This award, presented by the International Bridge, Tunnel, and Turnpike Association (IBTTA), honours the most outstanding projects and programs in the international tolling industry. These honours celebrate innovation and the advancement of best practices within the tolling and user-based transportation financing sector. By recognizing the industry’s most creative and impactful projects, IBTTA continues to set new benchmarks for safety, performance, and inclusivity across the global transportation landscape.

407 ETR is one of two winners in the DEI category that honours organizations that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace and community.

“Over the past few years, we’ve made a deliberate effort to make our workplace inclusive and this award is a testament to the people who have brought these programs and practices to life,” says Javier Tamargo, President & CEO, 407 ETR. “This is a continuing journey, and we remain dedicated to our efforts of engaging employees and local communities.”

407 ETR aims to create a safe and supportive environment where all employees can thrive. A key component of delivering customer value and corporate citizen objectives is enabling an inclusive workplace. 407 ETR’s commitment to inclusion extends beyond recruitment and encompasses an inclusive workplace culture through raising awareness, ongoing training and encouraging feedback.

407 ETR employs a data-driven approach to track the impact of its DEI initiatives across the organization, examining employee feedback to understand employee experiences and identify areas of success and areas for improvement. This ensures that 407 ETR’s DEI strategy is both impactful and responsive to the evolving needs of its workforce. In 2023, the Company’s inclusion score1 increased to 77% – a 12-point increase against the 2021 baseline – and measured 82% in the diversity score.2
